Enchanted Kingdom, a theme park in the Philippines, wanted to transform their existing motion simulator into something extraordinary. They hired SimEx-Iwerks to build a groundbreaking flying theater that would become a world-renowned attraction.

A SimEx-Iwerks solution
For this ambitious project, we leveraged our patented flying theater technology to create "Agila: The EksPerience". This attraction became Asia's largest screen surface at 544 square meters (5,860 sq ft). It also had the highest seating capacity (105 seats) for a single flying theater.
Our approach went beyond standard solutions and showcased our ability to manage complex engineering challenges. Innovative features like a synchronized dropping floor and safety rail system created a dramatic reveal.
Our team developed unique solutions for the 60-foot connected platform and safety systems, ensuring reliable performance through meticulous attention to detail. Each bay operates independently, allowing continuous operation even if maintenance is needed in one section. The modular design ensures maximum up time–a critical factor for venue operations.
The Agila attraction has continued to operate reliably for 7 years with out any major issues or down time. At the premiere, a six-minute film with 6K resolution was projected on the curved screen featuring 20 locations across the Philippines.
There are a lot of moving parts to an attraction of this size and its seamless operation is a testament to both Simex-Iwerks and Enchanted Kingdoms dedication to producing a world class attraction.
